The first step to apply for a Vietnamse eVisa is to be up-to-date on the requirements. Thankfully, there are only a handful of Vietnam visa requirements for Brazilian citizens – all travelers need are three things: a valid Brazil-issued passports, a recent photo of themselves (preferably taken in the last six months), and a valid debit or credit card in order to pay for the eVisa fee. It is also important to note that the Brazilian passport should be valid for a minimum of six months after the day the traveler enters Vietnam. The passport should also have enough space – this means at least 2 blank pages for any stamps that will be incurrent at the Vietnamese border.

Once all of these items are ready, travelers can start their application. This is done by going to the website and filling out the online form. The application will ask travelers a couple of basic questions about themselves, which includes their full name (first and last name), birthdate, and contact information (email, address, and phone number). The next section will ask for passport details, including the passport number, date of issue, date of expiry, and nationality. Finally, the application ends by asking questions about the traveler’s health history (including medical history and vaccinations) and travel itinerary, and asking them to upload a recent photo of themselves. Before submitting the application, travelers will need to pay their eVisa fee with a valid credit or debit card.

For young travelers, there is an important extra piece of information: Applicants who are under 14 years old can opt to be included on their parent’s Vietnam eVisa application. If the minor has their own passport, however, they have to complete a separate application.

Once the applicant has been approved for their Vietnamese eVisa, we recommend printing out the confirmation message they received in their email inbox. This is important because travelers will need to show the border officer a copy of their eVisa in order to be allowed entry into Vietnam.
