Why Do Bulgarian Visitors Need a Vietnamese Visa?
Most nationalities need a visa or a travel permit in order to enter Vietnam. Bulgarian passport holders are among those travelers who do not need to apply in person for their authorization and benefit from the ease of an electronic visa.
The Vietnam eVisa is a single-entry document that enables its holder to stay in the country for a maximum of 30 days. An approval letter is no longer required and the application process is straightforward and speedy.
Those Bulgarian travelers with dual citizenship should remember that they must use the same passport provided on their application to travel to Vietnam since both documents are linked electronically and entry will be denied if the passport data does not match.
The reason why Bulgarians, as well as other country nationals, need an eVisa to visit Vietnam has to do with border security issues. Applying online and revising the information and requirements beforehand by Vietnamese authorities allows knowing in advance who is traveling to the country and controlling in a more efficient manner the flux of international travelers.
