Travelers wishing to obtain a Vietnamese eVisa can do so in less than an hour. We have outlined the steps to obtaining a visa to Vietnam from Spain below.

Do Spanish Citizens Need a Visa for Vietnam?

Yes, all Spanish citizens are required to have a visa in their passport before they can legally enter Vietnam. The visa is good for many categories and purposes, including business, tourism, short-term employment, investing in a Vietnamese company, and more.

Young travelers have two options when it comes to applying for their Vietnamese eVisa: travelers 14 years old or under can be added to their parent’s application. If, however, the minor has their own passport, they will need to fill out their own application.

Vietnam Visa Requirements for Spanish Travelers

There are only a handful of visa requirements for the Vietnamese electronic visa. The only three items you will need are your Spanish passport, a digital passport photo, and a valid credit or debit card. We break down each requirement below:

  • A valid passport – The traveler’s Spain-issued passport must be a valid biometric passport. The passport must also have two empty pages (in order to have space for the stamps at the border) and must be valid for at least 6 months after the date the traveler plans to arrive in Vietnam.
  • The traveler’s personal information – The Vietnam eVisa application has four sections that will ask travelers about various pieces of information, including their personal information (first and last name, contact information, and date of birth); passport information (passport number, nationality, and issue/expiration date); health history; and travel itinerary. We recommend keeping your passport nearby while filling out the application so that it is easier to access this information.
  • A digital photo of the applicant – The application will ask applicants to upload a clear and recent photo of themselves. More information can be found under the evisa photo requirements.
  • A valid form of payment – Finally, in order to submit the application and get approved, travelers will need to pay the eVisa fee with a valid debit or credit card.
